Keychron K3 Ultra 8K – ISO-CH Keyboard with Banana Tactile Switches
Ideal for beginners
The Keychron K3 Ultra 8K combines a compact 75% format with a pleasantly flat low-profile design and Swiss ISO-CH layout. With 320.62 × 126 mm, it takes up little space on the desk and is suitable for home office, office and gaming. It is connected via 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.2 or USB-C. Up to three devices can be paired and conveniently changed via Bluetooth. This variant uses the tactile Keychron Milk POM Banana Low-Profile Switches. With 57 ± 10 gf actuation force, they provide much stronger tactile feedback than the Brown switches. If you like to consciously feel what's happening under your fingers while typing, you should enjoy it. The delay is 1.7 ± 0.4 mm, the maximum total travel is 3.1 ± 0.3 mm.
For IT professionals & enthusiasts
In wired USB-C and 2.4 GHz mode, the K3 Ultra 8K works with a polling rate of 8000 Hz. It is 125 Hz via Bluetooth. N-Key Rollover is available both wired and wireless. An ARM-based MCU with 1 MB of flash memory works inside. The open ZMK firmware allows extensive customization. The Keychron Launcher web app can be used to reassign buttons and configure macros, shortcuts and other functions. This allows the K3 Ultra 8K to be adapted pretty precisely to your personal workflow or gaming setup.
2.4 GHz & Bluetooth Connection
The K3 Ultra 8K achieves a polling rate of 8000 Hz via the 2.4 GHz connection and thus delivers particularly fast signal transmission. The same 8000 Hz is available via USB-C. Bluetooth 5.2 complements the connection options and allows up to three devices to be paired.
550 Hours of Use on a Single Charge
The integrated 2600 mAh lithium polymer battery achieves a runtime of up to 550 hours when the backlight is turned off. The keyboard can continue to be used while charging - practical if the battery requires power in the middle of the working day.
Wood Meets Metal
The case combines natural wood with aluminum and gives the K3 Ultra 8K a unique look. The plate is made of anodized aluminum alloy, while the bottom case is made of ABS plastic. The weight is 566 ± 10 g.
Ultra-Slim
The low-profile construction keeps the keyboard pleasantly flat. Without keycaps, the front height is 16.55 mm and the rear height is 20.1 mm. The feet are 2 mm high. The Milk POM low-profile switches measure only 11.9 mm and contribute to the slim overall design.
Keychron Milk POM Switch
The Keychron Milk POM Banana Switches installed here are tactile and have the highest actuation force of the three available variants Red, Brown and Banana at 57 ± 10 gf. The delay is 1.7 ± 0.4 mm, the maximum total travel is 3.1 ± 0.3 mm. Keychron classifies the noise level as medium. The switches are already pre-lubricated and use self-lubricating POM and POK materials for smooth movements. The MX stem and key housing components are made of POM, supplemented by a steel spring. The stronger tactile behavior makes the Banana Switches particularly interesting for frequent typists and users who prefer a clearly perceptible pressure point.
Hot-Swappable
Thanks to hot-swappability, the Keychron Milk POM switches can be replaced without soldering. If the strong banana feedback should be a bit too much of a good thing at some point, Brown or linear Red switches, for example, can be used.
An Epic Core Inside
The ARM-based MCU has 1 MB of flash memory and forms the technical basis for the high polling rate and extensive configuration. Over 2.4 GHz and USB-C, the keyboard achieves a polling rate of 8000 Hz.
Interior Acoustic Foam
Inside, IXPE acoustic foam and EPDM foam are used. The construction reduces unwanted typing noise, supports the switches and contributes to a controlled and comfortable typing experience.
Customize Every Part
The K3 Ultra 8K is designed for customizability. Switches, keycaps and other components can be changed or adapted to personal requirements. Thanks to hot-swap, switching can be done without a soldering iron and without unnecessary drama at the desk.
Low-Profile Double-Shot PBT Keycaps
The flat LSA Double-Shot PBT keycaps are resistant to wear and tear and finger grease. The labels are non-shine-through and therefore not translucent. Under the keycaps, north-facing RGB lighting works.
Mix RGB
With Mix RGB, the lighting can be divided into two individually configured zones. Different lighting combinations can be configured via the Keychron Launcher and matched to the setup.
Suitable for All Devices
The K3 Ultra 8K supports macOS, Windows and Linux. Additional Mac and Windows keycaps are included in the scope of delivery, so that the keyboard can be configured to match the operating system used.
Program with ZMK & Launcher
The open-source firmware ZMK forms the basis for programming. The browser-based Keychron Launcher web app can be used to reassign individual keys and set up macros, shortcuts and other functions.
