Keychron K3 Ultra 8K – flat ISO-CH keyboard with 8000 Hz wireless
Ideal for beginners
The Keychron K3 Ultra 8K combines a compact 75% format with a pleasantly flat low-profile design and the familiar Swiss ISO-CH layout. With 320.62 × 126 mm, it takes up little space on the desk and is suitable for home office, office and gaming. It is connected via 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.2 or USB-C. Up to three devices can be connected via Bluetooth and conveniently changed. The tactile Keychron Milk POM Brown Low-Profile Switches provide noticeable feedback when the shutter is released, without appearing as powerful as the Banana variant. With 50 ± 8 gf actuation force, 1.7 ± 0.4 mm delay and a maximum of 3.1 ± 0.3 mm total travel, they offer a balanced mix of direct feedback and comfortable typing feel. Especially those who write a lot and still like to play should quickly get used to it.
For IT professionals & enthusiasts
In wired USB-C and 2.4 GHz mode, the K3 Ultra 8K works with a polling rate of 8000 Hz. It is 125 Hz via Bluetooth. N-Key Rollover is available both wired and wireless. An ARM-based MCU with 1 MB of flash memory works inside. The open ZMK firmware allows extensive customizations. The Keychron Launcher web app can be used to reassign keys, configure macros and shortcuts, and customize other functions. This makes the K3 Ultra 8K also suitable for users who like to fine-tune their keyboard to their own workflow down to the last detail.
2.4 GHz & Bluetooth Connection
The K3 Ultra 8K achieves a polling rate of 8000 Hz via the 2.4 GHz connection, making it suitable for fast games. The same 8000 Hz is available via the wired USB-C connection. Bluetooth 5.2 complements the whole thing for uncomplicated use with up to three devices.
550 Hours of Use on a Single Charge
The integrated 2600 mAh lithium polymer battery achieves up to 550 hours of runtime when the backlight is turned off. The keyboard can continue to be used while charging - no reason to take a forced break in the middle of the working day.
Wood Meets Metal
The case combines natural wood with aluminum, giving the K3 Ultra 8K a pretty distinct character. The plate is made of anodized aluminum alloy, while ABS plastic is used for the bottom case. The weight is 566 ± 10 g.
Ultra-Slim
The low-profile construction keeps the keyboard pleasantly flat. Without keycaps, the front height is 16.55 mm and the rear height is 20.1 mm. The feet are 2 mm high. The Milk POM low-profile switches themselves measure only 11.9 mm. This keeps the mechanical keyboard compact and easy to reach.
Keychron Milk POM Switch
This version features tactile Keychron Milk POM Brown switches. They have an actuation force of 50 ± 8 gf, a travel of 1.7 ± 0.4 mm, and a maximum total travel of 3.1 ± 0.3 mm. Unlike the linear Red Switch, the Brown has a clearly perceptible tactile feedback. The switches are pre-lubricated and use self-lubricating POM and POK materials for smooth movements. The MX stem and essential case components are made of POM, complemented by a steel spring. The noise level is rated as medium by Keychron . This makes the Brown Switch a versatile middle ground for office and gaming.
Hot-Swappable
Thanks to hot-swappability, the Keychron Milk POM switches can be replaced without soldering. If you prefer to type linearly later or want stronger tactile feedback, you can adjust the typing feel accordingly.
An Epic Core Inside
The ARM-based MCU with 1 MB of flash memory forms the technical basis for the high polling rate and extensive configuration options. The keyboard achieves a polling rate of 8000 Hz via 2.4 GHz and USB-C.
Interior Acoustic Foam
Inside, Keychron relies on IXPE acoustic foam and EPDM foam. The construction reduces unwanted typing noise, supports the switches and contributes to a controlled typing feel.
Customize Every Part
The K3 Ultra 8K was designed for customizability. Switches, keycaps and other components can be changed or adapted to personal requirements. Hot-swap in particular makes your first own keyboard modifications pleasantly uncomplicated.
Low-Profile Double-Shot PBT Keycaps
The flat LSA Double-Shot PBT keycaps are resistant to wear and finger grease. The labels are non-shine-through and therefore not translucent. A north-facing RGB lighting works under the keycaps.
Mix RGB
With Mix RGB, the lighting can be divided into two individually configured zones. Different lighting combinations can be configured via the Keychron Launcher and give the setup a little more leeway – after all, not every desk has to glow beige.
Suitable for All Devices
The K3 Ultra 8K supports macOS, Windows and Linux. Additional Mac and Windows keycaps are included in the scope of delivery, so that the keyboard can be configured to match the operating system used.
Program with ZMK & Launcher
The open-source firmware ZMK forms the basis for programming. The browser-based Keychron Launcher web app can be used to reassign individual keys and set up macros, shortcuts and other functions.
