Keychron Q1 Ultra 8K Black – 75% aluminum keyboard with Brown switches and ISO-CH
Ideal for beginners
The Keychron Q1 Ultra 8K combines a compact 75% layout with Swiss ISO-CH key assignments, wireless freedom and a pleasantly defined typing feel. Despite its smaller footprint, arrow keys, function keys and a practical rotary control remain directly accessible. This makes it convenient for home office, office, gaming and daily use.
This variant features pre-lubricated Keychron Silk POM Brown switches. They work tactilely and provide noticeable feedback when the shutter is released, without using a pronounced click mechanism. This makes them a versatile middle ground between linear and clicky switches – pleasant for typing and fast enough for gaming at the same time.
For IT professionals & enthusiasts
Technically, the Q1 Ultra 8K has a lot to offer: ZMK firmware, 8000 Hz polling rate via USB-C and 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.3, NKRO and hot-swap support for almost all mechanical 3-pin and 5-pin MX switches. In addition, there is a CNC-machined aluminum case, a PC plate, screwed PCB stabilizers, several damping layers and KSA Double-Shot PBT keycaps. Key assignments, macros, lighting and other functions can be adjusted via the browser-based Keychron launcher.
KEYCHRON Q1 ULTRA 8K
The Q1 Ultra 8K is a 75% custom wireless mechanical keyboard made of aluminum. It supports 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB-C and combines fast data transfer with extensive customization options.
Ultra-Fast 8K Wireless Performance
Via 2.4 GHz and the wired USB-C connection, the keyboard achieves a polling rate of 8000 Hz. This reduces the time between keystroke and processing and is particularly interesting for fast games. Up to three devices can also be connected via Bluetooth 5.3.
660 Hours of Use on A Single Charge
The integrated 4000 mAh lithium polymer battery allows up to 660 hours of runtime when the lighting is turned off. With RGB at the lowest brightness level, up to 200 hours are possible. While charging, the keyboard can still be used wired.
An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard
A powerful ARM-based microcontroller with 1 MB of flash memory forms the technical basis. It enables the high 8000 Hz polling rate both wired and over 2.4 GHz and offers sufficient reserves for CMK and individual configurations.
A Refined Piece Of Metal Art
The case is CNC milled from 6063 aluminum and then further processed. The black version has an anodized surface. With a weight of around 1.7 kg, the keyboard sits correspondingly firmly on the desk - accidentally moving it becomes rather difficult.
Keychron Silk POM Switch
The Keychron Silk POM Brown switches are already factory-lubricated and have tactile switching behavior. They require 55 ± 15 gf actuation force, offer 2 ± 0.4 mm of travel and a total travel of 4.0 ± 0.4 mm. The service life is stated to be up to 50 million actuations.
Compared to the linear Red Switch, the Brown Switch offers a clearly noticeable resistance point when the shutter is released. This gives clear feedback to every keystroke without the need for a loud click. This is an interesting tuning, especially for frequent typists, programmers and users who combine gaming and writing.
Satisfying Keyboard Acoustics
Multiple damping layers take care of sound and typing feel. Sound Absorbing Foam, IXPE Foam, PET Film, Latex Bottom Pad, Bottom Case Acoustic Foam and Bottom Case PET Film reduce vibration, resonance, and unwanted cavity noise.
KSA Profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps
The KSA Double-Shot PBT keycaps have a distinctive, ergonomically shaped surface. PBT is resistant to abrasion and greasy fingerprints. Thanks to the double-shot process, the labels are permanently integrated into the material.
DOUBLE-GASKET DESIGN
The Double Gasket system decouples the inner keyboard structure from the aluminum case. Additional silicone pads between the upper and lower cases reduce resonances and contribute to a slightly springy, controlled stroke.
HOT-SWAPPABLE
The switches can be replaced without soldering. Almost all common mechanical 3-pin and 5-pin MX switches are supported. If you prefer linear, more tactile or completely different typing later, you don't have to change the entire keyboard right away.
All New Screw-In PCB Stabilizers
Screw-down PCB stabilizers reduce lateral play on longer keys. Spacebar, Shift, Enter and other large keys feel more controlled and stable.
Suitable for All Devices
The Keychron Q1 Ultra 8K supports Windows, macOS and Linux. Additional keycaps for Windows and macOS as well as a system switcher are available. Two different layout configurations can be saved directly on the keyboard.
Program with Launcher
The browser-based Keychron Launcher can be used to reassign keys, create macros, configure shortcuts and change RGB settings. Firmware functions are also managed via it without having to permanently install separate desktop software.
ZMK Firmware
The Q1 Ultra 8K uses ZMK, an open-source firmware for mechanical keyboards with a special focus on wireless connections and energy efficiency. Among other things, it enables layers, individual key assignments, macros and multiple device profiles.
Unlock Dynamic Backlit Control
South-facing RGB lighting offers more than 22 lighting modes, including static white. In addition, Per-Key RGB and Mix RGB are available for individually configured lighting areas.
Per-key RGB
With Per-Key RGB, the lighting of each individual key can be individually adjusted. In this way, important functions can be visually emphasized or different color combinations can be easily created.
MIX RGB
Mix RGB divides the keyboard into two separately configurable lighting zones. Both areas can display different colors and effects.
