Keychron K10 HE Black Wood (CH) – magnetic full-size keyboard with precise actuation
Ideal for beginners
The Keychron K10 HE Black Wood Special Edition combines a familiar 100% layout with modern magnetic switch technology. Thanks to the ISO-CH layout, separate number pad and full row of function keys, the switch feels uncomplicated - whether office, home office or gaming. At the same time, the dark wood elements on the aluminum case create a look that pleasantly stands out from the usual black keyboard monotony. The connection works wirelessly via 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth 5.2 as well as classically via USB-C. Up to three devices can be connected via Bluetooth. Practical when it's the turn of the PC in the morning, the tablet in between and the laptop later. According to the manufacturer, the integrated 4000 mAh battery achieves up to 120 hours of runtime.
For IT professionals & enthusiasts
Linear Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switches work inside. Instead of a classic electrical contact, the position of each key is magnetically detected. The trigger point can be configured between 0.2 and 3.8 mm in fine 0.1 mm increments. The switches have a double guide for stable key travel, are lubricated from the factory and work with 40 g initial force and 60 g final force. The specified service life is up to 150 million keystrokes. The Keychron launcher can be used to configure the trigger point, rapid trigger, button assignment, macros, RGB and other HE functions. QMK forms the open firmware basis. Wired and over 2.4 GHz, the K10 HE achieves a polling rate of 1000 Hz, and 125 Hz via Bluetooth. N-Key Rollover works both wired and wireless.
Special Edition & Standard Version
This variant is the black Special Edition with dark wood accents. The case combines aluminum and wood and measures 444.6 × 129.2 mm. The weight is around 1310 g. The front edge including keycaps is 32.94 mm high, the back 39.52 mm. Three possible typing angles of 3.5°, 7.7° and 11° make it easier to adjust to the preferred hand position. Unlike the standard version, the Special Edition OSA Double-Shot PBT uses keycaps without shine-through. PBT is resistant to gloss and wear – not an unimportant small thing, especially for a keyboard that sees a few kilometers of text every day.
Keychron Ultra-fast Lime & Gateron Double-Rail
This version is equipped with Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switches. Their double guide supports a stable and even movement when pressing the button. Important for later modding: This version is designed exclusively with compatible Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switches.
Adjustable Actuation Point
The trigger point of each key can be adjusted between 0.2 and 3.8 mm - in 0.1 mm increments. Very flat settings react to minimal movements and are suitable for fast gaming inputs, for example. A lower trigger point, on the other hand, can help reduce accidental inputs when typing.
Last Key Priority (LKP) & Snap Click
Last Key Priority prioritizes the last button pressed in the event of opposite inputs. Snap Click can prioritize the lower button and reset the flatter input when two keys are pressed at the same time. This makes quick changes of direction feel more direct. Both functions are disabled by default and can be activated in the Keychron Launcher if necessary.
One Key. Multiple Actions
Dynamic Keystrokes – DKS for short – allows up to four different actions on a single key. The action depends on how far the key is pressed or released. For example, a light press can trigger a movement, and a deep pressure can trigger a second function.
Dynamic Rapid Trigger
Rapid Trigger does not work with a rigid reset point. A key can be activated or reset depending on its actual movement. Especially with fast, repeated changes of direction, this reduces unnecessary key travel – fingers up, fingers down, action. This is exactly where Hall Effect technology comes into its own.
Analog Mode
In Analog Mode, the K10 HE can not only detect on or off, but also evaluate the actual velocity depth. This allows variable inputs to be implemented similar to a controller. In racing games, for example, a button can accelerate or brake to different degrees depending on the depth of pressure.
Program with QMK & Launcher
QMK and the browser-based Keychron Launcher Web App allow extensive customization without the need for classic desktop software. Keys can be reassigned, macros can be set up, HE functions can be configured and lighting settings can be changed.
2.4 GHz & Bluetooth Connection
For gaming, a fast 2.4 GHz connection with 1000 Hz polling rate is available. Alternatively, the keyboard also works at 1000 Hz via USB-C. Bluetooth 5.2 offers 125 Hz and allows you to connect to up to three devices - practical for switching between computer, tablet and other devices.
Industry-leading Latency Performance
The combination of magnetic sensing, 1000 Hz polling and direct 2.4 GHz or USB-C connection is designed for short response times. Especially in fast games, the input benefits from the fact that the trigger point and reset behavior are no longer determined by classic mechanical contact points.
An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard
An MCU with 256 KB Flash processes inputs and, together with QMK, enables the extensive configuration of the keyboard. The polling rate is 1000 Hz in USB-C and 2.4 GHz operation ex works.
Satisfying Keyboard Acoustics
Several damping layers take care of sound and resonances. Among other things, 3.5 mm EVA acoustic foam, EPDM foam, PET film and a silicone acoustic pad are located in the case. This reduces hollow sound and vibrations and gives the large full-size keyboard a more controlled stroke.
Keycap
The Special Edition uses non-translucent OSA Double-Shot PBT keycaps. The robust PBT material is resistant to finger grease and the typical shine of frequently used keys.
Switch
The Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switches operate in a linear and non-contact manner with magnetic sensing. The dual guide stabilizes the movement of the stem and is particularly suitable for precise, repeatable inputs.
Top Case & Plate
The case of the Special Edition combines aluminum with dark wood elements. An aluminum plate keeps the switches stable in position and contributes to a defined typing feel.
Sound Absorbing Foam & EPDM Foam
EVA and EPDM attenuation reduce internal resonances and unwanted noise. This is especially noticeable in the large 100% cabinet, where a lot of surface can otherwise mean a lot of resonance.
PCB & Silicone Acoustic Pad
The PCB processes the magnetically detected inputs and supports hot-swap within the compatible Gateron double-rail system. An additional silicone acoustic pad supports noise and vibration damping in the lower case area.
Suitable for All Devices
The K10 HE supports Windows, macOS, and Linux. A system switcher and additional keycaps for Windows and macOS make it easy to switch platforms. Two different layouts can be saved for the two operating systems.
Double-shot PBT Keycaps
The OSA Double-Shot PBT Keycaps of the Special Edition are not translucent. Their lettering is permanently integrated into the two-layer construction and cannot simply be rubbed off.
Hot-Swappable
The magnetic switches can be replaced without soldering. However, there is one important limitation: The Gateron double-rail version only supports compatible Gateron double-rail magnetic switches.
Unlock Dynamic Backlit Control
The north-facing RGB lighting offers more than 22 lighting settings including static white. Effects and colors can be adjusted via the launcher.
RGB Backlight
Per-Key RGB allows an individual color configuration of each individual key. For example, important gaming keys can be visually highlighted or different areas can be clearly separated.
Mix RGB
With Mix RGB, the keyboard can be divided into two individually configured lighting zones. Both areas can be combined with different effects.
