ARTISAN MIZUGUMO FUTAE P6

ARTISAN MIZUGUMO FUTAE P6 – compact mouse skates for controlled, smooth gliding

Ideal for beginners

The ARTISAN MIZUGUMO FUTAE P6 are small mouse skates with a big impact. With their diameter of 6.4 mm, they also fit on mice where larger point skates simply can't fit. Especially on fabric mouse pads, they ensure a pleasantly controlled and even movement - ideal for gaming, office or simply anyone who wants to move their mouse over the pad a little more smoothly. The rounded edges reduce the risk of the skates getting caught on the surface when moving. This feels much more comfortable, especially when changing direction quickly. No small "hopping" in the wrong place, no unnecessary scratching - after all, the mouse should glide and not trip over the mouse pad.

For IT professionals & enthusiasts

Technically, ARTISAN relies on a special multi-curve construction for the MIZUGUMO FUTAE P6. Not only is the edge rounded: the entire contact surface to the mouse pad also has a slight curvature. This is intended to keep the gliding feeling as constant as possible even if the mouse is not loaded completely evenly. The diameter is 6.4 mm. This ARTISAN extends the FUTAE concept to mice where the regular 8 mm FUTAE-P8 cannot be used due to their size.

Round Edge for trouble-free gliding

The round edges are designed to reduce snagging during mouse movement. This is especially interesting for quick flicks and frequent changes of direction. Instead of a sharply defined edge, a rounded surface meets the mouse pad - a small detail that can make a surprising difference when gaming.

Multi-curve shape for constant movement

The bottom of the FUTAE P6 is slightly curved over the entire contact surface. This multi-curve shape supports the smoothest possible gliding behavior, even if the weight is not perfectly distributed over all skates when playing. Especially those who load the mouse at a slight angle or exert different amounts of pressure when aiming know the problem: Suddenly one movement feels different from the previous one. This is exactly where the FUTAE concept comes in.

6.4 mm diameter for more compatibility

At 6.4 mm, the FUTAE P6 is smaller than the 8 mm version FUTAE P8. This allows them to be used with a larger selection of mice, especially if the existing skate surfaces or recesses offer little space. However, compatibility with all mouse models cannot be guaranteed. Before mounting, it is therefore worth taking a quick look at the available surfaces on the bottom of the mouse.

Optimized for fabric mouse pads

ARTISAN recommends the FUTAE P6 for fabric mousepads and especially for models with a MID base. For softer SOFT or XSOFT bases, additional skate points may be required so that the mouse is sufficiently stable. On the other hand, it is not recommended to use it on very hard surfaces such as glass or metal mouse pads. Both stability and durability can suffer here.

Instructions for installation

For mice with particularly deep recesses for the original mouse feet, height adjustment may be necessary. For example, thin tape can be used under the skates for this purpose. And yes, exactly this millimeter stuff sounds pretty nerdy at first. With a mouse that wanders several kilometers over the pad every evening, however, you notice such details faster than you think.

Conclusion & Recommendation

The ARTISAN MIZUGUMO FUTAE P6 are aimed at users who are looking for compact point skates with a controlled and as constant glide behavior as possible. The combination of 6.4 mm diameter, rounded edges and multi-curve contact surface makes them particularly interesting for gaming mice with limited space on the bottom. If you are looking for compact mouse skates for fabric mouse pads, then you won't go wrong with the ARTISAN MIZUGUMO FUTAE P6.
