The MOD68-HE uses the linear Akko AstroAim Magnetic Switch. The switch offers a total travel of 3.5 ± 0.1 mm, an initial force of 35 gf and an end force of 55 gf. The PC, POM and PA66 construction ensures a smooth typing feel. In addition, an integrated LED diffuser improves RGB illumination.

The housing is made of precision-machined 6063 aluminum. Colour-coordinated side elements and a minimalist aluminium backplate provide a modern appearance. At the same time, the construction increases the longevity of the keyboard.
The MOD68-HE supports several compatible third-party Hall Effect switches. After replacement, the switches can be recalibrated via the Akko Cloud software. MX mechanical switches are not supported.
