Description

Wooting 60HE US-ANSI – 60% analog gaming keyboard with Rapid Trigger

For an uncomplicated entry into analogue gaming

The Wooting 60U brings the advantages of an analog gaming keyboard into a particularly compact 60% format. This black variant is equipped with US-ANSI layout, Lekker L60 Linear60 Hall-Effect switches and ARM Rev1 hardware. Instead of simply recognizing a keystroke as "on" or "off", the keyboard continuously detects how far a key is pressed. This allows triggering behavior and reaction points to be adapted very precisely to your own playing style. With dimensions of 30.2 x 11.6 x 3.8 cm, the Wooting 60U takes up little space on the desk and thus creates additional freedom of movement for the mouse. The black ABS housing, the steel switch plate and the weight of 605 g result in a compact design for gaming, e-sports and daily use. The keyboard is wired via USB.

For ambitious gamers & enthusiasts

At the heart of the Wooting 60U are the linear Lekker L60 Hall-Effect switches. Magnetic sensors continuously detect the position of each key, which allows the trigger point to be individually configured. The switches are hot-swappable and can be replaced without classic desoldering. The trigger point can be set between 0.1 and 4.0 mm per key. WASD, for example, can react extremely early, while other keys are deliberately given a lower trigger point. Rapid Trigger complements this principle with dynamic activation and reset points, thus enabling particularly fast repeated inputs and changes of direction. The USB polling rate is 1000 Hz, which means that inputs can be transmitted to the computer at intervals of up to 1 ms. Together with Rapid Trigger and analog key capture, a particularly direct input chain is created – especially interesting for fast FPS and competitive games. The Wooting 60U uses a GH60 PCBA in 60% format, a steel plate and plate-mount stabilizers; screw-in stabilizers are also supported. In addition, there is RGB lighting, N-key rollover and anti-ghosting. Wootility can be used to configure functions, key assignments and lighting. Up to four profiles can be stored directly on the keyboard.

Take Control

The Hall Effect sensors not only detect whether a key is pressed, but also detect its position within the key travel. It is precisely this additional information that forms the basis for rapid triggers, adjustable trigger points and other analog functions. The result is significantly more control over when and how an input is triggered.

The Power of Analog

Analog detection opens up functions that are hardly feasible with classic mechanical switches. In addition to different trigger points, button presses can be used as variable controller inputs, for example. In compatible applications, an input can be dosed depending on the actual pressure depth.

Rapid Trigger

Rapid Trigger does not work with a classic fixed reset point. Instead, the function is based on the actual movement of the key. As soon as the direction of movement changes, the input can be activated or reset accordingly. This enables fast, repeated button presses and particularly direct changes of direction.

Adjustable Actuation

The actuation point can be configured for individual keys between 0.1 and 4.0 mm. A short actuation path is suitable for particularly responsive gaming inputs, while a lower actuation point can reduce unintentional button presses. Different settings can be combined within the same profile.

Wootility

Wootility serves as the central interface for the configuration of the Wooting 60U. Here, trigger points, rapid triggers, RGB lighting, button assignments and other functions can be adjusted, among other things. Up to four profiles can be stored in the onboard memory, so that important settings are not dependent on permanently running software.

Rappy Snappy

Rappy Snappy can link two buttons together and take into account their actual pressure depth. If both buttons are pressed at the same time, the button pressed further can be prioritized. This opens up additional possibilities for fast motion controls.

Snappy Tappy (SOCD)

Snappy Tappy allows you to configure the behavior when opposing inputs are pressed at the same time. Depending on the setting, for example, the last button pressed can be prioritized. Especially when changing direction quickly, this offers additional control over the input.

DKS (Dynamic Keystroke)

Dynamic Keystroke enables multiple actions on a single key. Depending on the pressure depth and direction of movement, different commands can be triggered when pressing and releasing. One key can thus take over much more than a classic single input.

Controller Input

Analog key capture allows compatible keys to output variable controller signals. This allows you to control the intensity of certain inputs depending on the depth of pressure, for example, which is a rather unusual trick for a mechanical keyboard.

Conclusion & Recommendation

The Wooting 60HE US-ANSI is primarily aimed at gamers who want as much control as possible over the triggering behavior of their keyboard. Rapid triggers, 1000 Hz polling rate, an individually adjustable trigger point from 0.1 to 4.0 mm and the analog Lekker L60 switches form a strong technical basis for this. At the same time, the 60% format creates plenty of space for large mouse movements - quite welcome on a full gaming desk. If you're looking for a compact analog gaming keyboard with extensive input control, then you won't go wrong with the Wooting 60U. Target group: Competitive gamers, FPS players, e-sports fans, enthusiasts, 60% fans, customizing fans
